Revolutionary Girl Utena wallpaper

Done completely in Illustrator CS1. This is based on two different official Revolutionary Girl Utena cell art pieces that I liked, one from the anime series and the other from the film, so there are elements from the different costumes combined. This was a really free-form piece in that I had the idea to do the characters more in silhouette but ended up having fun trying out different color combos for everything (complimentary red & greens, reversing the characters' colors, etc) but here's how it ended up. I might do a silhouette version sometime.

Widescreen: 1920x12001680x10501280x800
Standard: 1600x12001280x9601152x8641024x768

Funny that I generally don't care for pinks at all but here I go making these fan art wallpapers that have pink palates. Go figure. ;)

I think your Marimite vectors are beautiful! The lines are so clean, and I actually get a feeling from looking at them (sorry it's hard to explain and I don't know what feeling exactly, lol, but when I see the blue sky vector, all the emotions and memories from the show kinda get summed up into this one wallpaper), and this Utena vector looks great! Keep up the good work and looking forward to more vectors!

Ah, just finished watching the movie for the 10 time and was looking for something to help with the withdrawals.

This'll do nicely.

Seriously amazing.

Thanks Sheldor, glad you like it!
Yeah, after I couldn't figure out how to get Utena in intravenously I figured I'd make the wallpaper instead. ^_^

Hi Kara! I have a favour to ask you. I absolutely love this image to pieces. I've used it as my wallpaper for both my pc and my work computers for almost a year (this is unprecedented!) and I would just love to blow it up and frame it.

I respect your art so much, I wanted to ask if that would be okay with you? I'll only go ahead with your permission.

Thanks for your deliberation!

@Sheldor - sorry for the very delayed response! Print away! Though I can claim to have created this, the RGU characters and concepts are not mine so I can't claim anything over this art; neither I nor anyone else can sell it. If you need a larger file, let me know and I can send you one. :)
