Oil on canvas
October 23, 2013
I periodically go out to the location of these wrecked cars to see how nature progresses on the reclamation process. It's been several years since I took the first photo this was painted from and since then vandals have ripped the chrome "battery" and "fuel" parts off as well as the matching "oil" and "water" bits as well. I found parts of them in the snow and mud and am thinking of having them framed with the original painting.
Been a while since I last worked on this - 2008! I'm kind of glad I took such a long break from it because I learned a LOT from painting my three Atlas Imperial Diesel Engine Co. pieces that I've been able to apply to "Battery/Fuel".
So here's session... 7. I never took photos from session 6, whenever that was. I have a ways to go but it's getting there and it feels good.
